A space that moves through space, a community in constant flux, a vein by which citizens pulse through the city: the public bus connects people from all over Milwaukee, providing access to many walks of life. The Greenline, a north-south route covering fifteen miles and twenty-one neighborhoods, completes a loop from Bayshore Mall to the Mitchell Airport and back in approximately two and a half hours. Businessmen, travelers, homeless individuals, and students such as myself utilize this route daily, though perhaps not at the same time. Many who ride the bus share a seat with one another, but never meet. My investigations, totaling 20 hours of bus riding time, attempt to connect with the people who share my seat and find the overlap in our paths.
